Child and Adolescent Counselling Psychologist and Senior Special Educator, TMW
Presently working as Senior Special Educator at Mount Carmel School, Dwarka. She has been passionately working with children and adolescents since 2004. Her journey started with working in a project, as a Research Associate, which was related to mental health of working and non-working women. As she always wanted to be surrounded by children, she joined Salaam Baalak Trust, an organization which rigorously and avidly works with street children, as a Counselling Psychologist. As she was keen on exploring the research avenues, she joined IIT Delhi to work as a Research Associate in a National level project on children’s emotions while finishing her PhD. After a very rich research experience at IIT Delhi, she again chased her curiosity of working with children and joined Presidium. On a journey of her family extension, she switched to the current organization. While being on constant work with various organizations, she pursued her another passion of teaching variety of students for quite a few years at Orkids, A Multidisciplinary Clinic, as a guest faculty. She also has few publications in her name.

- While doing her schooling, she was always interested in listening to others’ problems and solving them, fixing the conflicts between friends, helping people in need etc. This led her to choosing Psychology as one her subjects in Secondary school. Since then, she studied Psychology. Belonging to a small place, her passion for Psychology pulled her to Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi for doing her Masters in Psychology. As she grew in her understanding of the subject, she chose to do PGD in Counselling Psychology and then PhD in Psychology. Her craving to work with children motivated her to work with special needs children also. Thus, she pursued PGD in Management of Learning Disabilities and started working as a Special Educator too. Since then, she has been attending many workshops, conferences and pursuing various short-term courses to keep upgrading her knowledge in the field.
